Achieving a moderate life now feels like fishing in murky water. Religious moderation is a necessity that is very difficult to realize. This is important because Indonesia is a pluralistic country. There are various religions in this country which are also enriched by the diversity of cultures, ethnicities, races and so on. In this diversity, being moderate is an obligation for every citizen. One radical step will greatly affect social activities in this country. It must be admitted that radical actions are often carried out by Christians under the influence of xenophobia against those of other religions. However, what is actually the basis of every intolerant act that is carried out and whether it is in accordance with the teachings of Christ, will be discussed in this study. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach in the hermeneutic method of historical criticism. This research was written as an attempt to find the meaning of Galatians 1:6-10 and its implementation towards inter-religious tolerance. Therefore, in this study, theories related to hermeneutics, tolerance, religions and moderation will be used. The results of this study are expected to maximize the efforts of inter-religious tolerance. In addition, this research will also give rise to a new understanding of how Christians should respond to the presence of those of other faiths based on the light of Galatians 1:6-10. The text of Galatians 1:6-10 was chosen in the hope that this study will provide some kind of counter to the erroneous understanding of moderation. Radicalism seems to have a new way of blocking tolerance. This method is to spread the notion that there is nothing wrong with being radical with the teachings of one's own religion. Especially when this understanding is peppered with poison that religious moderation is actually a way to weaken religious belief. The result of this research is to find theories and arguments against this notion.
